This is the target database for a future planet-finding satellite
mission.

This SVN version is something like a checkout of
git@github.com:fmenti/life.  There's a checkout of both svn and git on
Markus' machine, which is where cross-merging happens.

Occasionally, we store the input data as .tar.gz into the snapshots
directory.  To do that, run a command like:

  tar -cvzf snapshots/life-td-2024-03-22.tar.gz data

in the resource directory.
